1) Why do you act? Growing up in a tiny town in Oklahoma, I think my first exposure to acting was when I was asked to play a ruthless lawyer in a 4-H skit about leadership or something. Well, I immediately I fell in love with performing. I love telling stories and I think it is an important part of the human experience going back since the dawn of time. I think Alan Rickman said it best when he said “And it’s a human need to be told stories. The more we’re governed by idiots and have no control over our destinies, the more we need to tell stories to each other about who we are, why we are, where we come from, and what might be possible.”

The thing I like about film is that the stories and performances are immortalized, and you never know who may come across it in the future!
2) What actors inspire you? I am always inspired the most by actors I find interesting to 5year mindy2watch. The ones that have that “illusive something” that you can’t put your finger on. For me those actors are, Johnny Depp, Katee Sackhoff,  Robin Williams, Helena Bonham Carter, Dustin Hoffman, Kevin Spacey, Kate Winslet, and Lucy Lawless to name a few.
3) Why are you doing The 5 Year? Well, because I met our director, James Christopher, at the Twister Alley Film Festival and I thought he and his team seemed like fun people to work with. I also like how the script explores different stages of life and love and what that can do to friendships. As Shakespeare said “Friendship is constant in all other things,
save in the office and affairs of love”. Ha! It makes for an interesting weekend at the lake house.
4) What are your favorite movies?
The Goonies
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
Hook
The Martian
Benny and Joon
Edward Scissorhands
The Labyrinth
Son in Law
Titanic
